Pedometer
Today, at a glance
Open the app and the day is there: your steps against your goal on a trail gauge, the distance, the energy and the walking time, with your last walk just below. Steps come from the phone's own motion sensor, all day, whether or not you started a walk.
Pick a daily goal that suits you. Add the Today widget and you will not need to open the app at all.

Walk tracking
Every walk, on the clock
Start a walk and a split-flap board starts counting, the way a station clock does. Distance, steps, pace and calories update as you go, and the route draws itself on the map.
- Laps with one tap, timed like a stopwatch.
- Distance alerts with a short chime that lowers your music instead of stopping it.
- Recording in your pocket with the screen locked, for as long as the walk lasts.
- Calories worked out from your pace and the weight you set.

For athletes who walk
Pace, splits, moving time
Fitness walkers, race walkers, anyone training for a long walk: the trail report gives you the numbers that matter. Moving time without the stops. Average pace per kilometre or mile. A split for every kilometre, with the fastest one marked, so you can see where you held your pace and where you lost it.
- Km 112'10"
- Km 212'01"
- Km 312'08"
- 0.0812'01"
Running is recognised and kept as its own line, with its own pace. Cycling and every kind of ride stay out of your walking numbers.

Walking journal
The week, the records, the habit
The Journal adds it all up: this week's distance with a bar for each day, the number of walks, steps, time and calories. Below, your personal records: the longest walk, the most steps, the longest time on foot. Then each day, with its walks.
A habit is easier to keep when you can see it. Ten minutes after lunch, the long way home, a Sunday loop: they all count, and they all show.

Honest numbers
A step counter that knows a ride
Many trackers count a bumpy bus ride as a walk. forWalking looks at your speed and your steps: a stretch by car, ferry or plane is kept on the map and the timeline but out of your distance, time, steps, calories, splits and records. You can set any stretch yourself, too.

Widgets
Your steps, on the home screen
The Today widget shows your steps against your goal, and switches to the walk while one is running. On iPhone, the walk also shows on the lock screen and in the Dynamic Island.
